I don't recall Blake being a giant in his field (though I certainly havent read all the Blake era issues, far from it), Strange was a top man, influential and sought after in medical circles.
OTOH, current Blake can definitely hold a scalpel steadily. Strange still has problems from time to time with fine motor control.
