Alien vs Predator: Requiem

I thought the movie was awesome, didnt really care if it didnt have that thick of a storyline, I liked some of the characters actually, but some of the dialogue was a little meh. The action was just great and so was the gore and the Predator whooped major ass, and thats all I really wanted. 😄 I know that sounds shallow but o well.

Although like one guy said, I didnt like it when the hybrid just kicked the Predator instead of killing him, I guess he wanted to be somewhat honorable because he was afterall half a Predator. 😖hifty: Lol, Idunno. But still Wolf could've just taken him out with the plasma caster.

Truth is, good plot and diologue alone do not make a good movie. Only snobs think that.

Sometimes, it's cool to just sit back and watch mind numbing violence for a couple hours.

I actually agree. I read all these reviews and they say this movie is like shit, and my step bro hates it because of the same reason: Not much of a storyline. But who cares?? It was entertaining, and thats all that mattered to me. Not every sci-fi film has to have an overly-intelligent plot.

you can make mind numbing action and still have style, acting and story. This movie had nothing other than two rubber suits. Hoping and expecting acting, style and story in a brain dead action movie does not make one a snob, but, simply, a film fan evolved.

can't wait for the sequel.

Their home planet, Predatoria, is in our galaxy, you know. And not too far from our Star System.

I heard Predators created Aliens for the sole reason of hunting them. And that female predators of even bigger and fiercer than the males.

There should have a female Predator star in the next movie.

This piece of garbage makes AVP 1 look like a master piece, Stupid movie.

Oh and thank god no body dared to say this film is even half as good as aliens.

Here's hoping if they make AVP3, they'll get rid of the current writer and get a competent one aswell as a competent director on-board, though chances are, that sure as hell won't happen.

If Pred 3, AVP3 or alien 5 is going to be made, let james cameron or ridley scott handle it, not incompetent fools like the strausse brothers.

The movie had stupid unlikable teenagers, hell the alien and predator franchise had adults which were likable, even the already bad AVP had this important element which contributes to a decent film.

A crap story, its set on earth which contradicts the alien films.

It lacked character development which is what made the first 2 alien films and the two predator films so great and climatic when the characters got killed off.

But ill admit it, the only thing worth watching in this movie is when the aliens and predators fight, i completely ignore everything else because it is so horrible, ESPECIALLY the characters where none of us could give a shit about or care for when they got killed off unlike the predator and alien franchise. Oh yes the predator was bad arse and at the least the predator homeworld was another thing worth watching.

Thats my opinion.

Lastly i don't see how AVPR garbage bridges the gap between AVP and the alien franchise by trying to introduce Yutani.

Predator : concrete jungle Bridged the gap between AVP and the alien trilogy far more competant than this garbage movie, that game actually showed how weyland industries and yutani merged to form weyland-yutani in the alien films and they even introduced Mother which is the voice of the system in the Nostromo in Alien

see what the inclusion of a predator having an alien skull in its trophy cabinet started....what a shame...what a terrible awful shame...to watch 2 great sci-fi baddies get horribly raped by shit directors out to make a buck

Well it doesn't make the first AVP look like a masterpiece. This one had waaayyy more action and that's pretty much all most people are asking for from this franchise.

Btw I hope the sequel will be AvPvT.

This movie had so many flaws, more so from a stupid setting and plot, hell and if your talking action alone, even AVP beats AVPR by a small margin, look at the fight between the grid alien and celtic, its better than most of the fight scenes in AVPR save for the predalien fight honestly.

I wouldn't blame the Strauses. Infact, if you look around, you'll see that most of the blame should go to Fox(Lower budget, hiring that hack Salerno), Salerno(Just about everything in this and the first movie) and John Davis(Actually pushed to have AVP-R set on Earth. The is guy is a D-U-M-B-A-S-S, dumbass).

The Strauses are new to the directing scene, so I wouldn't be surprised that their first directorial debut wasn't that great. I think most of it should got to the three ass holes listed above.
