Especially considering that they "dropped" the price of the 60GB one to $500 and then discontinued production on it, and the new 80GB system which will be $600 doesn't even have backwards compatibility.
If there was anything Sony could have done to shoot themselves in the foot, it was that.
And I love how they're trying to do the "package in a game" thing. Too bad it's a shitty game no one wants...

I don't allow people to play without the strap unless they are willing to pay for whatever they break.
We've had people lose their grip on the control before...usually with the strap on though. One time my uncle didn't have the strap, the control went through the air, hit the ceiling then came down on my brother's head and made him spill his drink everywhere. Good times. 馃檪
The controls are nice and sturdy at least.
