Takes time. Prime example would be with Xavier saying he could not track Dust because she spread her consciousness in her Dust form. People who do that are MUCH harder, close to impossible, to PSI attack.

IIRC, to attack he would still need to merge his consciousness.

That would be a conscious effort. How can you attack something without thought? A thought is all a telepath needs to put him down.

Also Emma knows Bobby's powerset probably better than Bobby himself🙂
