I realize that it's the first issue, but the art makes it so hard to like. That and the writing isn't that great either.

aye... i mean, i'll admit that i wasnt a huge fan of new x-men, but i could recognise that it was a decent comic... but this... this, thing they've replaced it with...

I don't like the use of the thought boxes. They tend to be really cluttered and the issue doesn't flow as well as it's predecessor. Plus the characters had charm back then. Now we have a Wolf Cub who is supposed to be a hard ass (I thought the joke was that he was a coward?), the Dust scene was pretty good, Santo was okay but he lost his Charm and ink sucks.

And to be brutally honest I really don't care that much about the New Mutants. (Both versions were craptacular)

Fat Karma's only good for jokes, and I'm not a fan of Sunspot. I'm neutral when it comes to Cannonball, Rhane, Illyana and Dani but have to admit that I do like crazy Magma.
