I agree with that, I think they were referring to those 80's crossovers.
Yeah...I presume Dissassembled will cause the formation of two teams. Scott vs Xavier. Xavier will take all the renegades eg Gambit
In an ideal Rogue..Gambit would get killed by Rogue in X-Men #207 but that's highly unlikely...I would love Box face to be Gambit.

I was looking at some preview art for the MC(IGN Day 3) and one of the scans there shows Wolverine and Gambit...and next to Gambit it's written no stomach...I remember Apocalypse shifting Gambits Organs when he created Death so it's possible that he survives Wolvey's stabs.
Also note that we already know the outcome of that fight thanks to the solicits.

The Marauders and Acolytes get taken out by the X-Men led by Storm. Exodus gets BFR'd by Nightcrawler before he can do anything( Which is silly because he can also teleport) afterwards Mr. Sinister puts the beatdown on Storm and co.
As for the One-Shot it was okay. It was a prologue to the whole event and we knew practically everything that happened. They tweaked a few of the teasers though eg My avatar with evil eyed Xavier was tweaked for the main issue.
