I know Nomura can say anything he wants. That does mean what he says is not bullshit. Take George Lucas for an example and you will see how stupid creators can get.
What do I think it was? I don't care. But to claim the sheer power and magniute of the power would mess Dante up is a stupid claim. Especially when you don't know what it is or how it works. For all we know Cloud simply severed ties with Sephiroth in his mind. Besides Cloud and Sephiroth get thrown through building without getting a single scratch.

That's because they don't want to show smudges and shit on their skin. Sephiroth's sword cut Cloud and that was seen. It would've happened to Sephiroth if he could get cut, but it didn't.
