The Hank Henshaw/Cyborg Superman Respect Thread

Cyborg defeats Superman..and feels strangely empty about it afterwards...

Henshaw again changing form.

Henshaw takes another potshot at Superdickery...

Henshaw isn't weakened by lack of a yellow sun, can change forms at will, and has genius level intellect. A truly frightening foe.

Borg becomes the new Grandmaster of the planet Biot..home of the Oan tech powered Manhunters.

Puts a serious hurting on Hal Jordan with a single blast, and takes out Guy Gardner with ease.

Toys with Hal, and starts to take control of his mind/body with his "willhunters."

Arisia helped Hal overcome the willhunters with time, but the advantage was clearly in Henshaws favor.

Henshaw continues to taunt Hal who musters up all his willpower...blasting him with the heat of the sun...

..to no effect as Henshaw keeps coming....

Arisia gets a nice suckerpunch and save's Hal's ass...

Borg still tosses him in a highmaster...who would have devoured him similar to a venus flytrap. The highmaster also grabs arisia.

Together Arisia and Hal are able to overcome the willhunters (again) and use the highmasters power to augment their combined power 100x over.

Henshaw as always, survives that, and starts to build a new body.

Cyborg Superman becomes part of the Sinestro Corps.

Herald to the Anti Monitor, and has some pretty powerful badass "peers."

He's also been upgraded with 8 Sinestro corp rings...like the guy didn't have ENOUGH powers as it was...

Henshaw is cursed with immortality...and joined with the anti-monitor in the hopes that AM can actually kill him and he can join his wife.

I just got done reading the GL issues, thanks to pr1983 for the issue #'s, I liked the story. I got to say I really don't like his look while he is on Apokolips to his fight with Supes on Kandor. He looks so much cooler as the Cyborg Superman. Even his recent red and black colors look great.

I do have a question for you, why is his lower jaw, in the pic with the GL's, look like flesh? Usually it is machine right?

Probably an artist's error.

Or maybe Henshaw was thinking about a new look. He can do Superman's complete face without issues. 😉

I thought it might have been an artist error, sense he has his classic look in the Sinstro corps comics.

That last part of your sentence makes me wonder. How come he didn't copy Supes entirely in his first appearance? Or even now, why does he keep the Cyborg look if he can be anyone?

My guess would be that it would take away from his character. To me he is like Classic Venom to Spider-Man, a great character and a great enemy.

Damn this guy is dangerous...and now hes got a power-up??!! Damn. Ive been reading about the Sinestro Corps some of those guys are absolutely complete and utterly ****ing dangerous.

Henshaw displays some impressive control over his form.
