Hazmat Team Alpha RP

Lieutenant Rek watched as his hand came away from Gotham.. empty. The cable snapped and Gotham fell into the darkness below. Rek didnt even hear them hitting the bottom of the shaft. Rek touched his com as he stood akwardly. He spoke in a gravelly voice noticable on the com. "This.. lieutenant Rek. I.. I am enroute, will calculate.. calculate ETA as soon as I exit the.. the.. labs." He said as the realisation of the fact that he had just lost a good man and could have saved him had he reached further. He picked up the fallen 'Viper' assault rifle and secured and checked the high yield explosives he was carrying. He also picked up the ammo and the extra assault rifle that Gotham had dropped during the lifts tumble. Gothams assault rifle and the attachment had fallen with Gotham. Gladly, because Reks back hurt from the extra weight. "On my.. way."

Jacob got Rek's transmission and smiled a bit. "Another hazmat made it out of there... thank god." Just as he sat down in an office chair, a marine ran up to him. "We have a truck full of survivors heading this way! It's a mix between civies and army personell!" Jacob instantly jumped to his feet and grabbed his assault rifle. By the time he got to the lobby, the deisel was in sight and moving alarmingly fast. Jacob opened the door and motioned for the lone marine to follow. "We need a signal to tell them to stop here!" The marine, thinking quickly, grabbed a sharpie and a piece of broken dry wall. He quickly scribbled the words "Alive. Resistance here." The driver flashed his lights twice to signal that he saw the sign. The truck dropped it's speed tremendously and headed straight for the front door. A volley of shots came from Jacob and the marine as the truck stopped just a few feet from them. Hundreds of infected were following close behind. All of the people on board started to run for the hospital door, save for one man who tried to run the other way. "I'm not going to wait to die!" He was quickly swarmed by infected and was eventually turned. All of the survivors rushed inside and sealed the doors.

Rek clambered out from the hole he had made with a grenade and was on a street...the hospital was infront of him. Between him and the Hospital was about a thousand crouding infected. He was almost scared, rising his eye brows. "Rek to.. Jacob. I cant get through the swarm. Im carrying extra equipment. even if I drop it all i wont ge through. Any suggestions." He asked. Rek was standing in a disserted part of the street. He ducked into a doorway to a research center. Gray dust seemed to be blowing about everythere. It must be residue.

Jacob heard the message and turned around to face the other survivors. "We have a man out there! He's one of us! I'm not ordering any of you to help, I am just asking for it." One civilian walked forward. "You're going to compromise pur safety for one man!?" Jacob and four soldiers spoke at the same time. "Hell yeah, it's a soldier thing." Jacob tapped his comm and opened the front door. "Stay put Rek, we're not leaving you behind." Jacob and the rag tag team made their way into the street and pushed into the enormous swarm. Guns blazing and soldiers screaming, they all made their way towards Rek's position.

(This is gonna have a very funy outcome. Ha Ha Haa.. Beter than I planned. I was gonna pretent to be a zombie. lol)

Rek heared the gunfire and leaned out from the cover as friendly fire zipped over his head and blew a street sign off its brackets. He smiled and raised his own assault rifle. He approached to the side firing as he ran. The Zombies immediatly to his left dropped and he took out thirteen before he ran out of bullets. He reloaded. Smiling as the combined, reg tag group of fire gained grouned leaving a trail of Zombies, dead in their wake. This had a comical effect on Rek and laughed slightly at the stupid tacticality of the situation. Something worhy of a plan by John 'Hannibal' Smith of the show in the eighties called The A-Team. "Nearly there, guys keep coming." He said resoundingly into the com.

Nine weapon weilding infected rounded the corner at a deadly speed. They opened up fire onto the survivors and infected alike. They seemed to know how to use them, just not very well. An army private was hit once in the leg but refused to slow down. All he did was keep running and take an occasional shot at the oncoming infected. Jacob had run out of ammunition in his assault rifle and had inadvertantly switch to his sidearm. The creatures were getting way to close for them to hold them off for much longer. When all seemed lost, Jacob notcied something out of the corner of his eye. It was a heavily damaged humvbee that still had a working .50 Cal.

((Keep going your about halfway there. I'll RP in a min! 🙂 Then I'll say good bye))

Rek had about eighty clips in total on his person. He was basically a walking bomb now. The equipment was vital to their survival. He shot at a Zombie infront of him and again, as he moved towards the other Hazmat and the Marines.

Jacob had been knocked onto his back by an infected and by the time he regained his footing, he could only watch as one of the marines was becoming infected. The marine wrenched forward and covered his eyes. Blood has been spattered into his eyes, which in turn made his start to turn. The marines realized what he had to do, so he removed his pistol and fired a round into his head. "No!" Jacob leaned forward and grabbed the poor marines pistol and started to take out most of the infected he could. The soldiers with the humvee started to shoot the infected and run them over.

((Goodbye dude I'll RP next week!! Or tomorrow morning!!))

((Seeya bro.))

Rek reached Jacob. "Hazmat!" He said triumpthantly. Rek shot the infected behind Jacob then he tossed him a bag full of assaut rifle clips. "Here, blasted heavy things anyway. Where too? I got some explosives left,' He shot another infacter close enough to hrm Jacob, blowing its head clean off in a red spray. The Hummvee pulled up beside them. "I'm the walking armory."

"Need a lift?" The soldier said sarcastically as the vehical stopped on top of one of the zombies bursting its head.

Jacob and the remaining survivors jumped in or, onto the humvee. "Hazmat!" Jacob smiled as the humvee bussed all of the survivors back to the parking garage in the hospital. "We'll need to resecure the garage to be sure that none get in!" Jacob jumped off the back of the humvee once they were inside and sealed the garage door. His next move was to drop the ammunition he had been given and then turn to Rek. "Damn good to see you soldier!"

"Damn good to see someone, alive!" Rek said, then laughed. He looked at his slightly senior but equally ranked oppisite. "I'm afraid Gotham didn't make it. And I lost com with the rest of Delta when the mission started. Theres some weird shit going on in this place!" Rek dropped the three assault rifles he was carrying and raised his own in a hazy point towards an air vent. "You think we should booby trap 'em?" Rek dropped the explosives sack and reached up and activated his scientific scanner. After a few seconds passed it beeped: The air had almost five percent traces of unknown gasses which caused Rek to raise his eyebrow. The nominal readings were normally zero point zero zero five percent. This reading was slowly climbing by a half percent every minute. "Hey Jacob look at this. These readings are getting higher. Should we block the vents?" Rek dumped the rest of the excess equipment on the concreate.

(The dust outside is some type of residue from the zombifications and is becomes really like a murky fog lol how are you?))

Jacob looked up at the vents and started to think the suggestion over. "Hmm.. you can if you want. It seems like the smarter thing to do really. I would help in a heartbeat but we don't have enough people for a lot of us to be in here." Jacob looked down at the ground and started to follow imaginary lines with his eyes. "At most we could spare.. maybe six troops for the vent jobs at any one time." A loud racket came from the main lobby, it sounded as if someone had fallen off a table. Rushing in quickly without a weapon he saw Ben on the ground. Before he could say anything, a civilian walked up with a pistol raised. "He's infected! He will become one of them!" Jacob removed his sidearm and aimed at the man. "Put the gun down. You have three seconds." Ben stood up. "Don't bother. I'm going out the back." Ben pulled out his weapon and walked towards the west wing of the hospital. The civilian lowered his gun and glared at Jacob. "You disgust me." Jacob looked back and retorted. "Oh, honestly I would sacrifice any of you to save my own ass." He walked away abruptly following Ben.

Rek followed Jacob, giving the civillian a hard stare and then passing him to continue after Ben and Jacob. Rek drew along side Jacob. "He's infected.... You know there may be some type of anti serum somewhere in the hospital. Unless the military didnt really expect the outbreak, dammit, here." Rek handed a fresh assualt rifle to Jacob and removed his own from the sling and checking the clip. Half. Nine clips spare. "We're gonna cover him..., right?"

Ben turned around to face Jacob and Rek. "I'll be fine. There's no need for yot both to cover me. I've done far dangerous then this, all I need is my pistol." Jacob looked at the ground and then looked up at Ben again, this time, with a salute. Ben saluted back and started to turn the nob. "J-man..." jacob looked up. "And Mo..."

Rek watched quietly. Saluted Ben "Good luck mate." He said in a voice that was entirely British and cockney. He spoke to Jacob in the neutral accent of British, American mixed. "So... whats the plan, need I say, sir?" Rek said half jokingly. A soldier approached from behind.

"Excuse me 'sirs'." He said, stressing the 'sirs' with animosity.

Rek acknowledged the marine with a slight tilt of his head. The marine continued.

"Sirs, we believe that there is no hope of rescue. The chances that any of our distress signals are even reaching command are low. That fog is causing a strangely high amount of interference."

Rek nodded. "Im not sure about Jacob, but i have been aware of that fact since I scanned the air. But there is also electronic interferance so dont waste your coms power." He laughed. "In fact... keep radio silence."

"Sir?" He asked jacob as the marine watched Ben open the door.

Rek over spoke him. "Okay Jacob. Whats the plan?"
