It does! I however doubt I will ever experience it shrug

Yes.

the term 'Love' is thrown around to easily imo.

but, to answer the question, Love is just the word I use to call the fact that I would endure anything at all in the world for him, and he would do the same for me. So, i suppose, yes. In my case at least.

Yes, although some mistake infatuation for love.

I consider my love as true as it can possibly be.. So, yes..

Yes, Love exists, why wouldn't it? It's an undying feeling of happiness for someone(s). Love for family, love for friends, love for your significant other. The word was invented for a reason.

However, love and lust can be mistaken.

id say it excists but as has been said its thrown around too much, loving something has become to some people so common, even objects which ofcourse is ridiculous if in my viewpoint is the same as WC

Daughters?

MANY MANY MANY times it's just SOMETHING ELSE.

SO many people, especially young people believe they know what love is and that they're experiencing it and I guess that's normal with all of the hormones coursing through their bodies, but hopefully they grow out of that and realize that it was just childhood lust.

OF course there are some sad people out there who make this mistakes in adulthood and I have no excuse for them.

I don't understand the "something else" thing. What else would it be?

Anything but love, such as "Lust" or "Infatuation" or "Mere Stupidity", some of which have already been stated in this thread.

Well, even in that case, couldn't this fanatic delusion be called "love"?

I mean, taking the definition of dictionary.com

love /lʌv/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[luhv] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation noun, verb, loved, lov·ing.
–noun
1. a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
2. a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.
3. sexual passion or desire.

Those three certainly exist. Maybe we are more talking about such a metaphysical concept of love some people seem to have...where it is inexplicable and magical and fantastic.

Is it possible for someone to mistake infatuation for love for a long period? like say, two years or so?
