Especially since my grandparents are in their 80s. Not a whole mess of Christmases left for them.

Well, when my grandparents were still alive I did, but since they passed I dont. I could listen to my Grandpa ramble on for hours about his barnstorming days.

My grandpa is in the early stages of progressive dementia, it's really sad to see. This guy was an FBI agent and fought in WWII. It's not fair. Great men like him waste away but assholes like my dad just keep on going ermm

My grandpa went through dementia his last year alive. He died at 90, his body just gave out. He kicked bladder cancer in the ass, but it came back, and he was bedridden for a month, and atrophy set in. He never fully recovered. I never got the chance to tell him how much I loved him, how much I appreciated him. I used to throw all his useful knowledge back in his face.
