My Father the Millionare.....

My dear old Dad owns a lot of property near Minute maid field here in Houston, where the Houston Astros play. Years ago, when the ball park was first built, a group of investors wanted to buy his lot for $500,000. My dad, selfish as he is, held out. every year or so another would come by and up the ante.

finally, a week or so ago, he sold the property for $950,000. 😱 with the couple of hundred thousand he has in the back already, my pops has become a millionare.

I'd ask him for the money he'd spend on the truck instead, be it 20, 25 or 30+ thousand; invest it wisely. A car or truck will only depreciate and in 5 years, you'll have a used vehicle worth only a couple thousand, while a sound investment will allow you to buy a truck in the future and keep money rolling in investments.
