Respect threads only succeed in providing info on the character to people who are ignorant of them. They're useful, since in matches involving the characters people could link to their respect threads, instead of having to tell someone who has no knowledge about the character everything about them. They generally fail in making people who don't respect the characters "respect" them. 😬
Best thing to do once again is simply ignore the joke being made or put the guy making the joke on ignore. It works, unlike complaining about it and wasting more space in the thread.
