Interestingly enough, Ridley (or Meta Ridley as he is regarded as in the Prime trilogy) was originally supposed to appear in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes as another Ing-possessed creature, wearing his own version of the Dark Suit, and this apparently, is the official artwork of it.
Dark Suit is of Luminoth technology of course, so that might kind of explain him looking much more bird-like than ever before (as opposed to his usual dragon guise), or maybe getting possessed by the Ing was supposed to make him uglier like that, and I thought his X-Parasite form was bad...
/random trivia
He pretty much is regarded as Metroid's Bowser at this point though 😬, and even if he was in Prime 2, he still wouldn't of been in "every" game, as there's still Metroid II: ROS and Metroid Prime Hunters that he was also absent in (of course, it wouldn't of made sense for him to be in those games anyway).
And I wouldn't of liked Echoes that much more even if Ridley was in it. It still would've been the worst game in the Prime trilogy to me either way (i.e. the whole dark/light theme in something like a Metroid title is just a major turn-off for me, and the beam ammo system in Echoes hardly made it feel like I was even playing a Metroid game. What next? Are they gonna have an ammo system on how many regular Morph Ball Bombs you can use as well?).
Still though, I have to admit, Dark Ridley (or at least that's what I'm guessing it would've been called since nearly everything the Ing took over had "Dark" in their name) could've looked pretty badass if done right, but even that wouldn't of made Echoes nearly as good as Prime 1 or Prime 3 as a whole.

I think he should've been, where there are pirates, there is Ridley. He didn't have to be a final boss, just a cameo or sub-boss at least.
Anyhow, chapter 10 has finally been translated. =)

Okay. I think these next scans contain the greatest moments in the history of Metroid.
No, really. They do.
I love how the whole confrontation between the Chozo warrior Gray Voice and Mother Brain (not to mention the way Mother was about to get utterly destroyed until Ridley showed up at the last second) kinda gave me a Mace vs Sidious vibe as I was reading all that.
It's just.. wow. Props to Yoshio Sakamoto on writing the script for this manga (just as he's done with earlier Metroid games), and further developing Ridley's character in the process, not just Samus's.

Ah well. This is where I got all that stuff from anyway, so you shouldn't get capped if you decide to look at it there.
