He's completely outclassed physically, and there are 9 plot devices compared to his 1. (Even Henshaws base power is a plot device.)
Damage to Thor will be a hindrance...while any damage that Thor might inflict can be healed in a fraction of a second.
Then there is the speed thing. Spiderman is faster than Thor, while Henshaw is way faster than both.

Magic my friend. We have never seen how Hank Henshaw does against it or how the yellow rings repond to it. Magic might be able to do what the power rings and Superman have failed to do. The God Force is a strange thing. It's merely a possibility. I'm not saying it would go down like that, but in a comic you can bet it would.

I totally agree with this in a comic setting. It's definitely an unknown variable when it comes to Henshaw but if it was Thor's title, it would be acceptable.
Henshaw would probably do the stupid villain thing in a comic where he explains his whole plan, not paying attention to something, and Thor would get some plot device.
Just on a note about the magic thing. Matrix Supergirl is a magic based being and she got pwned pretty easily.

Thank you. Yes I remember he fought Matrix Supergirl after that dodgy demon merge didn't he. I think though that was less direct magic. fair comment though.
