Penance

i thought since Relentless focused more on his character, it should have it's own thread.

did anyone catch the first issue? i think it solifies Penance/Speedball as a badass.

oh, and for those who don't know Penance: Relentless is a 5 part mini-series based on the hero turned martyr formally known as Speedball.

I read everything that's good.

I found it very boring to be honest, I couldn't understand alot of it and this barely managed to grab my interest for a single issue, let alone five.

I might pick up the next issue though, see if it gets any better.

I doubt this miniseries will change my mind.

Love Paul Gulacy. That's why it's such a shame he's been put on the shit-shift.

And what happened to Paul Jenkins? His Inhumans maxi years ago was amazing. Then he petered out almos immediately. That's still the only thing worth mentioning on his resume.

Penance is a poorly concieved character, trying to fix something that wasn't broken and instead making it trite and irrecognizable.
