If he's in that mental state that he was in WWH, the Sentry dies fast. The last thing Sentry wan't to do is be hit by Henshaw or his weapons.

WWH was entertaining, but had Henshaw been in Hulks place, Earth would have been screwed. Even with luck on his side and people jobbing all over the place Hulk struggled.
Sentry also fought like an idiot and was far from impressive in that arc.

Henshaw starts off far more durable. (Especially with high end showings)
Holes in the body? Henshaw can fix them with ease compared to WWH and upgrade while doing so.
Manipulation is just the icing on the cake.
