Well Digi, as much as I hate to tell you... the reason for Ashley's diss is simple.

She's religious. 😐

Srsly. In one of her convo's she was bringing up I think the after life or something.

Dude. I totally faked a belief in God to get in her pants. Just like real life I would never do in real life.

Like I said, she's just a cock tease. If the asari is my colsolation prize, so be it.

😐

I played a straight-up Paragon and I managed to tear it up with Ashley. You've gotta diss the Asari first though, when she asks you about it.

Yeah, see, I wanted them both, and I may have already burned that bridge when she asked me about Ashley, because I said she was just a friend (how do they know?! stupid gossips). Still, if it comes up again, I'll deny the asari.

I was straight up pimpin' with both and got to choose. Flirting with the asari didn't affect anytihng for me.

Well i got the PC version and im having a blast playing my 3rd female shepard 🙂

That's what I've been trying to do. But meh. I kinda forgot about the two of them the last couple times I've played. I'm having too much fun playing the actual game.

Ironically, Garrus is my "must have" person for big missions. He's the only person that can decrypt locks and fix the Mako, but also handle himself in a fight. Wrex and/or Ashley are my "bricks." I only use the magic-users for smaller stuff, since they have a tendency to die too often.

Once I upped Kaiden enough, he was killing entire groups with throw and usually managed to outlast Ashley.

Spoiler:
Then I killed him. 🙁

I didn't like the regular Sheperd they give you. Way too Hollywood-esque good looks. My dude is still good looking, but has far more of an edge to him.

And Kaiden seems. Meh. Throw's really that good when amped? I just hate the recovery times. Their sh*t might rock, but you don't run out of ammo, and occasionally they can't cast any spells so they're stuck with their pistol up theri ass or something.

Kaiden is awesome.

A fully upgraded Kaiden, Liari and yourself with a mastery of shotguns totally dominates anybody.

I just don't trust magic users, which is all they are.

Hokey religions are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

Its your decision, but I dont know how many times my ass got saved by those magic users in the later levels.

heh indeed, I always rolled with Kate and Wrex. Straight up pwnt some nubs, don't need magic to shotgun an alien in the face. Though matters did get a bit more difficult when I had to fight the Geth Prime...Even then Sniper Rifle came through.

And most say shes pretty on the bioware forums. Had so many requests for the sliders.

Oopps I had forgot to say that I didnt have Kaiden, I had Liari and Garrus as my two backups with myself as shotgun dude.

Shotguns are the best weapon in the game.

I'm a bit mystified by the general love of shotguns. At short-range, no argument. But most of the games firefights take place at too far a range for the shotgun to be useful. Unless you rush the enemy, but then you're open to damage too often. I've used them sporadically, but except for spot situations where I need the shotgun or sniper, I use assault about 95% of the time.

And when I give them a medical upgrade to their armor, the magic-users do stay alive fairly well. Tali still likes to die far too often. Some combination of Ashley/Wrex and Garrus is still my go-to team, and I haven't had more than occasional problems yet. I might not be near the end yet, but I've put 25+ hours in already.

On Normal difficulty, it doesn't seem overly hard. I die occasionally when I take a couple rockets to the face accidentally, but nothing that doesn't get fixed on the playthrough of the battle. It's a decent balance, though the next hardest setting might be slightly more rewarding. But I get the feeling I could beat most of it with any combination of people on my team.

Yeah I used the Assault Rifle too.

By the time I got to the end of the game, I had fully upgraded my assault rifle, and my friend helped me modify my rifle so that it never overheated.

Once you upgrade it enough, it's range and accuracy isn't that far below a sniper rifle...

I was a soldier with fully upgraded assault rifle, soldier, armor, and spectre stats.

I had Ashley with fully upgraded shotgun, soldier, sniper rifle, and armor stats.

Kaiden with... uh... I can't remember. 😮

Spoiler:
After Kaiden died.

I switched Kaiden with Garrus and fully upped his assault rifle, electriction or whatever, Turian agent I think it was, and somethin' else...

By the time I was at the final level, Ashely and Garrus were killing all of the Geth with their sniper rifles before I could even hit any of them with my AR.

In most games I never used it, but this game, with an SPECTRE shotgun and all the upgrades, I could hit somebody from the other side of the room and it dies. With the no such thing as ammo in this game, a shotgun can cycle through its ammo extremely quickly killing everything. Also, alot the encounters in this game are close quarters. Automatic death with one shot.

Teamed up with Liari, who disables everybody, and throws them into the air, a shotgun is your best friend. Get a pistol, and fully upgrade pistol for extreme long range and your set.

Trust me, shotguns in this game are killer.

I got to disagree. A fully upgraded assault rifle is basically a sniper rifle and a shotgun in one. I played twice through, and it was a lot easier for me when I took the soldier path the second time.

What path did you take the first time? A Vangaurd?

I was a soldier the first time, and I'm going through the game a second time as a female... adept I think.

I'm having an extremely hard time right now. 😐 My inability to regain health is pissing me off.
