He beat Galactus (high abstract level power) and The Hunger (multiversal level power) at the same time with a few hours of prep using technology which was inferior to his own.

I really doubt SG outside of his own realm is going to be much of a problem. Thanos has always been an amazingly clever fighter, and with prep it's a lock.
