Well you can always find a recuse group for the breed you want. Infact I was looking into it!! I found an oklahoma breed recuse but I cant adopt a great dane throw them. They will not adopt a GD out to a family that has children under 10years of age.=( And its 600$ to adopt one. I rather buy one froma breeder at that price. FOr 700$ I will be able to get a life time garantee, If something goes wrong I can have the pup replaced* such as medical trouble*. I also get AKC papers, 6months worth of Great Dane Eagle Large/Giant Puppy Formula dog food.
lol just with pure breeds. You can go to a shealther and pick up a dog for 100$ thats mixed and be done with it. I dont adopt because 9/10 the price is 100-300 to adopt and the money is hardly ever put to good use. So I just pick up young strays. Missy was the first pure breed ive bought in 10years.
I decided today to take Max for a walk with me and my daughters. We where about a block from our house when three poodles tried to attack us. Max being the baby he was stood behind me crying. These dogs lived in a home that had no fence, and they where not ona leash.*duh*. So after running away as fast as I could with the tree kiddos, all the while being followed by these ugly poodles, I made it home. Once home I called the Animal control center for My town. Saddly we live to far out of town for them to do anything about it. They told me to get ahold of the county and ask them. So I decide to call the county about seeing what could be done. The woman stated that even if the dogs had attacked us there is nothing they will do about it because the county does not have a leash law. She said we had to "deal" with it. Deal with it? So, If I was walking with my kids and one of these animals attacked, I would just DEAL with it?! I hate to be a meanie about it but this is not the only case of agressive dogs where I live. Five years ago The mand who lives across from me had three dogs that pulled my 8week old dashound through the fence and killed her. I wittness it in horror, It only took three seconds before they pulled her out and had her in three pieces. The owner atleast paid for the vet bill in that case but his dogs also run loose. And now that the owner is dead thos dogs are still running free. Yet when we make conplaints to the polic department they say " its out of our hands" and hang up. What can I do to feel safe again while walking? Im not even safe getting out of my truck, Thos three dogs once pinned me in my truck for over 2 hours not letting me out! These 6 dogs in total are out of control and yet no one will take action! Its to the point where if I catch any one of those dogs near my home I might be tempted to grab my 22 instead of my air riffle next time.
I don't actually condone violence against the dogs but I expect for anyone to take you seriously you'd probably have to shoot one (possibly in the leg so that they will be injured, not killed) and whenever they call the police against you you can simply tell them "You guys won't take action, I am. You don't have a law against unleashed dogs running around, I've got 2 kids that I've got to take care of and animals of my own, I've called various places numerous times and they've all told me the same thing so I took matters into my own hands."
