I think in the Capcom meeting the dev's were adamant to make sure they made Wesker as cliched as possible for RES5.
Although I still laugh at Saddlers talk about hero cliches in RES 4 only to turn into a giant monster after the speech, one of the biggest cliches in gaming!

Yeah I posted a gif showing his death, and while that guy said he won't be in the next RES game...well I don't expect him to, maybe RES 7/8 or when ever Capcom are low on money and need to boost RES sales. Then again he could be dead for good...who knows either way he was a damn awesome villain.

On a side note, I like how when playing as Wesker on mercenaries, he doesn't yell "CHRIIIIIIS!!!" (though he should have haermm), "SHEVAAAAAAA!!!", or "JIIIIIIIIIL!!!" if a teammate dies like the others do. Instead he just laughs (in a funny way), or he says "Incompetence surrounds me!". I lol at that pretty much every time a partner dies when I'm using him. Albert's just not the emotional type I guess, needless to say.
Oh, and I suppose we'll probably see Wesker in some epic fight scene with Alice (non-canon movie character) and her army of clones in RE: Afterlife (the supposed upcoming sequel to RE: Extinction).
Wonder if he'll be portrayed by some Irish actor again. lol Hope they at least do a better job on getting the hair right.

Now that I think about it though, he probably won't be anything in the next movie other than some businessman who doesn't do anything during the whole film until the end when Alice kills some big monster, then tries to kill Wesker as he runs away like a coward..

Yeah. Probably right, unless they make him an Agent Smith-like character and have him be able to do everything he could in RE5 and what not... but then Alice would get her butt kicked without some stupid plot device, so they may not even go there. 😂
I kinda hope he might at least have a different actor though (a British one at that).
And sure, most video game movies tend to suck, but the RE ones haven't been a total disaster or anything so far (like Doom and others), IMO. I find 'em pretty entertaining myself, but CGI's do seem to work better for this series I'll admit.
