I'm majoring in Philosophy and Minoring in Bio. I'm planning on doing my masters in Biological antrhopology next year, so yea, hopefuly I get accepted into a nice grad school.

Yeah you can. Public networks don't require a specific email.
Colleges, as far as I've seen, always do. There may be some exceptions, but Harvard isn't one them.
Businesses may or may not require a valid email, localities (cities, states, or countries) do not require a 'city' email.
But Colleges most certainly do.
However; your 'word' that he's on Harvard facebook isn't really much evidence.
