Nathan Algren vs King Leonidas

Tom Cruise's character from The Last Samurai up against Leonidas from 300 the movie.

Nathan has twin Samurai swords, Samurai armor and suit and Leonidas has his spear, short sword, shield and Spartan armor.

Lawlz @ Tom Cruise.

Leonidas ftw, simply by default.

QFT

Idunno, yall seen The Last Samurai, Cruise pwned ass in that film, Id defintely say hes the better swordsman here.

Why? Because he does a whole bunch of flashy twirls and spins when using his sword?

Leonidas is simple and direct with a shield and sword. He'd take this.

Cruise would be capable of sundering Leonidas' weapons.

Ok r u serious Leonidas who killed at least 3-400 men during that battle n was the best spartan warrior against a good samurai.
Leonidas is too strong n good

either way, Braz loses in the end...

The Last Samurai is one of my fave movies, but I have to say that Leonidas prolly guts Algren.

😂

Algren would win simply because the metalwork in his film's time > spartan's metallurgy. If both were equal, I would give it to Leonidas on skill, but his weapons were not meant for skirmishes, so it would be even in the end.

Does Algren get guns?

No.

Katsumoto or Ujio would have been a better match.

Awesome thread !

Difficult choice...I'd lean slightly more towards Leonidas due to his dubious 'Human' status.

Algren would take a majority, or a split at worst. People do forget at times that 300 was told as a recollection of Dilios, hence the immortals looking as they were, fantastical monsters etc.
