Go ahead and discuss the history of comics. The reason it isn't discussed as much is generally because it's not as interesting. Important, sure, but "How bout that Jack Kirby?" doesn't really have the appeal of, say, a current event in comics...even for those of us who know a bit about comic history.

I disagree, I think comic history is far more interesting than most currnt events. I've got a bit of both here. I recently picked up Wildstorms Legend not realising it was an update of Gladiator till I got it home.
