i guess the nobel prize is as renowned as a cracker jack prize these days. How does a man whom made a bad movie that consists of research OTHER people gathered make him eligible of a Nobel prize?

the peace prize isn't a real Nobel prize, same with the literature one and whatever.

Nobel started the awards for science: Medicine, Physics, Chemistry...

The peace and literature ones came later, are dealt with at different ceremonies, and apparently have much lower standards for the award.

According to [Aflred] Nobel's will, the Peace Prize should be awarded "to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses".
