I can't think of any top tier characters that the Sentry has beat when Thor couldn't.

It didn't double the power of the hammer, he only wrapped it in the belt of strength to reinforce it with extra durability. Obviously this didn't work, but this was a common forum misconception I feel needs cleared up.
