For me it was a big burly guy who lived next to us in Miami. I was only 6. My mom told me never talk to him because he murdered his mother and chopped her up with an ax. shock

I seriously doubt it was true. How would she know.. If it were true, he most likely would be in prison.

However as a little girl after she told me that... I seen him in his front yard carry an ax to his shed! THat was enough to scare/scar me for a looooong time!

Fire crackling used to freak me out as a kid. I also had to sleep with my closet door cracked open in case there were monsters, which really makes no sense, but for some reason it did back then.

Clowns have always freaked me out
