Racism

Well, some people found it funny, so "joke" is subjective. You do have a point though.

Regardless, if a white comedian pulled any of the racial-jokes that non-white comedians do as Blax mentioned, they'd be kicked off the stage and labeled as racist (yes/no?), which was his point as a double-standard. He used Kramer as an example, when he really shouldn't have.

I'm not disagreeing with that point at all. The double standard exist. Blame Richard Pryor?

Like saying "OJ Simpson is a black man."? Who finds that offensive?

I was chastised by a lady for calling her "black". She found it offensive to be called "black".

I am sure that there is more than one African American out there who finds it offensive when I white person calls them black...

Maybe she wasn't black? There are people with dark skin that are not of a negro background.

Yes, I'm sure you could find the odd person here and there, as idiots exist in all walks of life, I doubt they're the norm though.

No, she was definately African American. She just was petty like that. I respected her wishes, of course, because it was at a job and I didn't care to get fired.

I agree whole heartedly with that second statement. A random African American lady started going off on me when I said to a friend"we shuld call our group the 'large dark nipple tribe'". A quote from Kung Pao: Enter the Fist. At that moment, I almost become racist.

I myself don't have all the details.. I was under the assumption that in a joke he was giving he said niggers and people started heckling him so he kinda just went off.

Eh, point still stands.

No, they were heckling him to the point where he couldn't do his routine. So he called them a "bunch of niggers", he also said "50 years ago, we'd have hung up upside down with a fork up your ass.", OR something very similar to that, I forget the exacts.

I didn't say I don't believe you per se, just that is is quite convenient to have a random story about every morality based argument one is in.

That's actually the opposite of proof...it's called "not-proof".

You failed to miss the point of my putting it into quotation marks. I was distancing myself from the common use of the acronym "IRL" by putting it into quotation marks. I was also putting into quotation marks to make it appear the "IRL" is some sort of foreign concept to internet dwellers.(slight humor 😉) Indeed, it was an indirect reference to previous conversations as I had you specifically in mind as I typed the quotations marks.

I figured that the above was apparent in one form or another in my post and the general idea of what I was doing could be derived, especially considering I was replying to Bardock42...he has a uncanny(to you, probably canny) ability to figure out what others mean in their posts. I take for granted that Bardock is a smart person. No doubt that my reply caught your eye. 😉

How about option 2?

I relate morality to real life experiences and derive my judgments and perspectives on the current discussion to those relations. hmm

Isn't that how everyone, whether consciously or unconsciously, relates to their personal morality? 😉

I use my Magic-8-Ball for all my moral decisions.

Indeed Mr. "Equal Parts of Piss and Vinegar".

wait...was that a drug reference? hmm

You forgot the "M", so your emote didn't show.

No, this kind of magic-8-ball.
