Illadelph's Team Tournament Discussion Thread

Started by King Kandy133 pages

Well perhaps it is. I have been made aware of it being wrong, and have stopped doing it. It's no longer an issue.

I feel really sorry for the judges of our match. 😉 It's amazingly long

Bah, there's been far longer matches. I think.

What's up with Nver's match anyways? Are the judges just going to declare him the winner in a forfeit?

Didn't you look at it? Illedelph declare dhim the winner.

Oh didn't see that. Well congratulations Nver.

There's enough of me to go around. Don't be mad that you couldn't team with me a second time Scoob....you can't have sexy signatures and a kick-ass partner every tourney.

😉

Yep. When he was with you he had the snazzy sigs, and this time he has the all-star partner.

Never all at once though. ermmnone

Yes. I realize you're probably not familiar with too many old tourneys, but we had to learn the hard way to institute a post limit in battles. This is nothing compared to, say, the herald amalgam tourney. I remember Nataku/stormfront going 15+ pages (20+ total, but there were other comments).

Wow...

Sounds epic.

Smaller posts though.

That particular battle turned into a flame war because they hated each other. But 10 page battles were fairly common.

Huge battles = boredom for spectators.

Try and make your points as briefly and clearly as you can.

That's all the advice I'm handing out tonight. I'm tired. Going to bed.

Isn't that like cheating?

Seriously, you're given a limit on the number of posts and you're able to make additional posts by putting that post within an older post?

That would be a cheating only if the post was edited AFTER the answer on that. So it's no reason to disqualify anyone after that. Also I suggest marking the edited places in the post and establish several rules:
1. No more than 3 editions for a post.
2. You can't edit the post after it was answered.
3. You should clearly state what parts of the post you've edited.

There should also be a time limit on edits.

It's no way to establish it via engine, so the points I've made is fairly easier to monitor (not edit it after your opponent has answered, otherwise it would be cheating).

Doesn't the site give you as time stamp when you edit a post?

Yes, it gives it. And I agree, than 2-3 hours limit is fine (and should be established from now on, though it DOESN'T mean that the posts made before the rule was established are invalid now from all points of law).

Thanks. I'd so hoped that they would have challenged the amalgams so I could pull out all those scans face and guy had been digging up. Oh well. On to the next battle. 🙁

The proof I'm really the most sensitive member of team Akuki:
