Good and handy. A milder version of leonidas from previous tourney. And if Leonidas was a bit more polite back then, most of the cards against BW were in his hands.
heheh. getting a tactic i'd used a couple times previously banned and then only getting a single post to reply was a bit . . . 'off-putting' and sorta soured my mood. but you're too kind. 🙂
and nvr -- there was certainly nothing intended to be personally insulting in our opening. you really weren't even the one most of that was directed at . . .
btw -- very creative opening, nvr. i like it. we'll wreck it, but i like it. 😄
seriously, good luck. 😉

Indeed. I favor the thrill of running toward each other or what ever.
Also just a general question for Illadelph, what pre-knowledge do we get of the battlefield? For example would we know that the reflex cannon is even there if we haven't seen it be fired yet?

not so much that, but it just seems like if we keep this up it'll just be a question of who can appear next to the bigger superweapon, rather than actual strategy and tactics using your characters. Also just a general question for Illadelph, what pre-knowledge do we get of the battlefield? Yeah, I'm not a fan of that aspect of some tourneys either .... I'm not above using it to my advantage while it's there but I'd rather it was a bit more neutral.
I'd also be for the banning of battlefield destroying opening posts .... Hell, in the last tourney I basically destroyed every battlefield that came up (apart from one) - Grand Canyon, Death Star, Marvel Earth .... it's too easy sometimes if all you have to do is smash whatever you're standing on to get a victory.
😬

[Rehashing what I told Akuki via PM]
The characters knowledge of the battlefields is whatever you know as a real life person, not the actual character's knowledge, particularly given the fact that the battlefields are in numerous genres not native to the characters drafted. This is why I gave everyone a month's notice of what the battlefields were so you could all do research on the battlefields. There is no PIS in this tourney.
Essentially this tournament comes down to what you could do with the team utilizing the resources and abilities of the characters you drafted and your own knowledge of the battlefields, not "What would Kenshiro or Spiderman do in the Transformer's Universe?"
I hope that helps to clear things up.
As for the battlefield destroying attacks (Scoob), if you can actually pull it off it is legal, but there's normally a counter argument as to why it wouldn't work. Some are obviously more apparant than others, but there's normally a counter argument to be made. You should all also be planning for contingencies in your OPs. The direct approach isn't always the best approach, sometimes it's better to take a safe vantage point than an offensive posture.

I kinda like to think some of us did that this time. 🙄

Don't worry, this whole tournament is simply an elaborate ruse in order for B-Dub to lose to Leonidas the way he was supposed to in the last tournament...
