Well, I love you InnerRise. And I don't care if you don't love me back, but I love ya anyways. 😊

So in my opinion, yes, you can. Not always romantically, but in a certain way for everyone.

Ok, the statement still applies.

How is it more or less impossible, then?

I'm just curious.

I don't understand how someone can love someone they've never met. Having a crush on them or wanting to bang them is perfectly understandable, but not loving them.

If anything, I'd classify it as infatuation or the illusion of love.

I was wondering if it is possible to truly love someone that you have never met in the flesh. Does anyone out there have any input on the subect? Has this ever happened to you?

Sigh well this has happened to me twice, and both times I wasn't looking for it, mind you. Both times, when I realised what was happening, I tried to avoid it, but in the end, my feelings won me over. Best to just go with it and see where it leads you.

How?
some people need more to go on than others. me personally, I fall hard and fast, and am open to anything, so yes it is possible to fall in love with someone over the net.

I wasn't asking how people fall in love, RJ.

I was using me as an example, I am more open minded. some people arent, so its not feasible to fall in love online. it relates to the thread.

I know, I was questioning how Quiero could use his original statement, to question the feasibility of internet love.

I wasn't questioning ho people can fall in love over the internet, it was about a specific statement.

Yes i think its possible but very rare. Love in general is a hard thing to find. sometimes when people have the internet, phone or mail to rely on. They take on a more confident persona that is not truly their personality, but whom they want to be. honesty and physical attraction are the two things i believe that allow a relationship to persist. If you are able to be truly honest over communication outlets then sure, you can fall in love with that person. Understanding whether you legitimitely love that person or the idea of that person is hard to identify though.

Knights used to court maidens from far off lands that they never met

You totally hit the nail on the head bro. I met a woman online that is in love with me, and I love her too she asked me to marry her... I accepted, I know it seems crazy but sometimes you have to gamble in life right?

Can anyone that reads this dig down really deep, and ask themselves what the definition of love is to them? I mean what is love? Is it the pleasure of sex? The arguments? Is it how much you are willing to sacrifice for the person that you love? By the way instead of the word flesh that I used was simpler to use, as I thought that everyone would get the picture.

I have never been so afraid in my life of meeting someone, than I am of meeting what could truly be my wife in the future. This is a picture of her. We also talk daily and I see her too via webcam, but it feels like a prison sentence. You know what I mean? Like I'm on one side of the glass and she is on the other. In January I'll see her in person for the first time. Anyways it's taken a lot of courage to let everyone see what she looks like, but whatever.

Nope this thread belongs here not in the Religion section.
