they could be using Sodam Ion just to showcase how powerful Superboy Prime really is.

Having Yat beat a just recovering Superboy Prime doesn't serve as much purpose as having a still weakened SMP humiliate the GLC's 'greatest weapon'

I would explain to whaleteeth that watching his pawns beat down one by one isn't the most effective way to win the war

SuperBoy Prime does not looked weakened at all in the last panel..he looks fully re-energized.
Yat should win imo.

he looks fully reeenergized but he was only exposed to the sun for a less than a minute though...so i dont see how he could be at full power

he over powered the dogpile of superhero's from absorbing sun ray with his HAND..

That's how it works with PC Kryptonians. They aren't solar batteries like the current Supes is.

Not to mention that Prime himself said that he was nearly at full power, and implied that, come dawn, he'd be his old self all over again.

And the last page or two certainly seemed to support that premise.
