Do you plan on seeing any more movies this year?

After the Dark Knight, I don't know if I'll be going back to the theaters this year.

Besides the movies I missed I might see the Mummy 3.

I forgot all about that movie.

I might see it since it looks interesting.

I saw a trailer for the third mummy movie, I was rather surprised that another was coming after the second.

Actually it's the 4th film, the third mummy film is the scorpion king one.

Thats not really a mummy film...it's a spin off/prequal.

Anyways I completed FEAR today...ok I went through a whole buncha f*cked up stuff to try and save this chick called Alice and her father and what happens...she goes and dies and gets eaten and he also dies. Plus I destroyed the vault and all that, escape, survive getting blown up and at the end Alma some how starts climbing into the helicopter.

actually considering it does count as part of the trilogy you can find it at IMDB and sites like that, and the fact it comes as a boxset with the other mummies as part of the mummy trilogy it is actually a part of it, hence why this new mummy is the Mummy 4!

Technically this is the mummy 3...scoprion king was a prequal/spin off and I don't really consider it as part of the mummy trilogy. Like the elektra movie...that isn't DareDevil 2...or the wolverine movie, that isn't x-men 4, what about the ewoks movie...that wasn't considered part of the Star Wars saga. Type the mummy 3 into a search bar and you'll get The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

technically the mummy 3 or scorpion king is still a film the links with the other mummy films in that universe, it's because the scorpion king was popular so they decided to make a new mummy film based on him....and while it may be a prequel you do have the likes of Star wars having prequels in fact that has it's own prequel trilogy regardless to say that after those 3 films, Star wars became Star wars 4...so there still part of the universe, hence why the new film is the Mummy 4 and he fights a yeti in it.

Like I said type mummy 3 into a search bar and you get The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. The star wars prequal trilogy was about what was to come, about obi-wan, yoda, anakin and alotta other characters. Scorpion king didn't really have much to do with the mummy movies like the Star Wars prequal trilogy did with the original trilogy. Although not the best example if you go on wiki it goes: Mummy, Mummy returns and then The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

Shall we just say it's going to be an awesome film and leave it at that.

All i know is some people (like myself) claim that scorpion king is part of the mummy trilogy and others (like yourself) believe it to still be the Mummy 3 since it follows on from the Mummy returns.

On that note is Imohtep going to be in the film?

Well...no unless he's in a flash back or something. He died in the mummy returns...or whatever happened it was something I doubt he'd return from. I head there may be a prequal about Imohtep though

A prequal about him then sounds like a good idea though.

Chronologically speaking, the upcoming movie about the Dragon Emperor is the third movie. The Scorpion King movie was just a spin-off and had almost nothing to do with mummies since it was all about him.

Anyway, the weather is real nice over here.

Not at all it is still a part of a trilogy, some sequels to films have nothing to really do with the first, and since the boxset says the mummy trilogy i tend to believe that. 😉

Set in the same universe it is the 3rd one.
