Well, I had a good time. Besides dancing with my prom date, I almost ate all of the fruit cocktail and drunk most of the fruit punch. It was very good, and I was known for my addiction to fruits. 😄
My prom date, who was a close female friend, and I wore matching black and blue outfits. Although she tripped on a nail while were dancing, I was able to catch her. There wasn't any garbage (rap music) being played, and it was mostly R&B music, gospel music, and instrumentals.
My prom date and I didn't run for prom king and queen because we didn't want to be involved in school drama. I try not to get in drama because it almost always lead to something bad. After the prom was over, she and I went to see a movie. I think it was Spiderman 3, but I'm not sure.
Besides one person getting arrested, 2 fights occurring, controversy over the prom king and queen candidates, and the presence gang signs, it was a pretty good prom.
Sounds nice. Sadly, trash music is all that is ever played during such events in New York. Rap music is enough to keep me from attending the Prom. I already know that there isn't any good dancing (if it was seen in a brainless rap video or rap internet video that's all they'll do). Besides, the very sight and thought of such things disgusts me.
I don't blame you at all.
It disappoints me whenever I catch a glimpse of a rap music video that involves a bunch of half-naked men and/or women lap-dancing and doing awkward movements and saying trashy things. I can think of three dances that originated for a rap song, and all three of them are plain dumb.
I never listen to that garbage because it almost never has a positive message. Unfortunately, the youth of today will never realize that.
