Here's my updated list of the worst shows on MTV.
6. "Parental Control"
The parents of a boy/girl is fed up with their child's boyfriend/girlfriend. So, they try to find the perfect boy/girl for their child. Their child has to go on a date with the candidates for the whole day. Afterwards, the child has to choose whether to keep their current boyfriend/girlfriend or choose the one that their parents chose. This show is awful mainly because it's obviously scripted. Some of the conversations are so fake and I doubt that any of the "parents" are related to their "son/daughter". If this show wasn't so obviously scripted, it would still be bad, of course. The fact that parents would be desperate enough the inform the country that they're uncomfortable with their child's relationship is sad.
5. "A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila"
A romantic game show that involves Tila Tequila looking for a boyfriend/girlfriend. Since she's bisexual, she has 8 staight guys and 8 lesbian/bisexual girls competing for her heart. The challenges are ridiculous, and I wonder why the people would even do them.
4. "Real World"
Basically, a bunch of kids around the country have to be stuck in a house together for about 4 months just to see how they get along. Regardless of how popular this series is, it's still horrible. All they do is flirt and have sex most of the time. If they aren't arguing, then they're either partying and/or having sex. There are several things that occur in every season: the person who has a boyfriend/girlfriend ends up hooking up with one of the housemates, almost everybody will bring at least one person to the house just to make out with them, etc. The first few seasons may have been decent, but the latter seasons were bad.
3. "My Own"
This is such a bad show. It's good for laughs, but that's it. Then again, the purpose of the majority of MTV's shows is to laugh at the people in it. Anyway, this show is about people who are obsessed with certain celebrities. They're so obsessed, they want a personal version of their obsessions. The obsessed person has to pick a girl/guy who acts and looks just like their obsession through numerous tests. Afterwards, the obsessed person picks a winner and becomes happy with their personal "celebrity". This concept of this show was pathetic. It's just telling people that it's good to be obsessed with other people because you might get your personal version of them one day.
2. "I Want a Famous Face."
This isn't a good show at all. It's just a bunch of kids with ultra-low self-esteem and/or celebrity obsession who think that their lives would be better if they looked like a celebrity. In order to do this, they spend a large amount of money in order to go through plastic surgery. Ususally, they end up worst than they originally were.
And the worst show on MTV was...
1. "Why Can't I Be You?"
This has to be the worst show I've ever seen on MTV. All it does is make people admit that their jealous and envious of someone on live television, and forces the person to give the jealous person a "complete make-over" for money. Afterwards, the jealous person gets to test out his/her new "confidence" by acting exactly like the person he/she's jealous of. I couldn't believe that MTV would stoop this low by making crap and brodcasting it throughout the country. I couldn't believe that people would agree to be apart of this show.
Keep in mind that these are just the shows that I've heard of. I'm sure there are worst shows on MTV, but it's very likely that I don't know about them since I barely watch MTV.

It's mainly because reality series and reality game shows seems to be the trend nowadays. You have to remember that 99% of everything shown on MTV is either a music video or a reality show.

True, I suppose that's the only thing keeping it alive.
Do you want to know another thing that proves that MTV is all about ratings?
