IMHO the stories after Episode 6 don`t interest me and to me Star Wars 1-6 was about the rise, fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker and adding 7-9 would taint that to me. On the other hand a story about Jedi and Sith from the very old Republic would be a very interesting story to tell.

The stories before Star Wars (what they now call, somewhat tiresomely, "A New Hope"😉 were pretty uninteresting too, to be honest. I can just about live with the "EU" but, whatever you say, I'll never be won over by any of the "prequels" (and there's a word I hate). Even Revenge of the Sith was a pile of crap, in my humble opinion.

Classic Star Wars and some of the "Extended/ Expanded/ E-something Universe" is good. The new Star Wars films were abhorrent.
NJO Luke is pretty cool, yes. I'd agree that he's the best, maybe tying with Ben Kenobi.

I'm no expert on NJO, but I quite liked Anakin II. Killing him off so readers wouldn't get confused was pathetic. I always thought Mara Jade was pretty cool, too. Did I hear she was killed off a while back?

I liked Anakin 2 also. GL did kill him off for that sole purpose which I thought he should have. Jacen killed Mara a little easy.
