He wasn't the backbone, if anything it was joker. Joker made the storyline so much better than what it could have been, he had some great scenes and heck he even pushed batman to his limits and what did Harvey Dent do? Kidnapped a mans family and then died...wow what a great backbone he was. With or without Dent...the movie still would have done as well as it did. I even made a thread asking the batman fans if they felt that if Joker had been absent would the movie have been as successful as it was and they said no...so it's no use trying to say that I'm trying to shoot down the movie or anything because I am not...joker being in the movie made the storyline so much better.
Bullshit, Dent was the backbone because the Joker's whole plan was to corrupt Gotham's White Knight, which would cause Gotham's spirit to break. Try watching the movie again and PAYING ATTENTION next time. It's fruitless to deny that Dent wasn't the backbone of the movie, because Nolan established early on that this was as much Dent's story as Batman, and there's a shitload of fans over at the superherohype forums who know that Dent is the backbone, and I'd like to bet some members here have said the same as well. It's just apparent you didn't know what you were watching.

Joker was the backbone just as much as Dent, without Joker no one could have corrupted Dent and turned him bad, he wasn't just trying to corrupt Dent he was trying to corrupt batman...he wanted to make batman kill, try and break the dark knight. I have paid more attention to this movie than you so don't try and make it seem like you know more about this than I do buddy, it seems apparant that you didn't know the first two times you got banned that you should just f*ck off but you didn't, ya friggin noob 🙄 Without joker then TDK wouldn't have been as successful, I mean joker bought so much more to the table than Dent could possibly do and he added so much to the storyline. Joker is the most famous batman villain there is, sure there's other but Joker is the best of them and thats why he was included in the film...because he's the best and he makes for a good story. Without joker Batman would not have made as much and would not have done as well...people wanted to see joker, and thats why he was in there and thats why TDK is so damn good.

I'm not denying that the movie was based on a long halloween I'm just denying that the story would have been as successful without joker 🙄 Joker played a bigger role in that movie than Two Face or even Dent since joker was the one who made all the chaos happen, he corrupted Dent, he robbed that bank, he tried to get two groups of people on ferry's to try and kill each other, he tried to corrupt batman...I mean seriously he gave batman more trouble than Dent did, dent was not the backbone if he was the backbone he would have been the main villain and have made more of an affect than he did. Joker was more of a back bone for that film than Dent was, Dent was part of the back bone sure I'll admit that but the main reason why the movie attracted so many was cause they wanted to see the joker.
