Well, there's a chance that the people who'll watch the movie might decide to read the book afterwards.

True the book sales have been through the roof where I live.

Exactly, and the sales might double if a bunch of people like the movie and decide to read the books.

Turning novels into movies is almost like advertising the novels. Some people, like me, may not have known about the existence of the Watchmen novels, but seeing a movie based on the series might persuade me to get into the novel series.

True I think Watchmen (movie) may be the best Alan Moore adaptation cause tbh the other ones have been shit.

Well, what were the names of the other ones?

I believe "V for Vendetta" is one of Shadow Spider's favorite movies.

You didn't like "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen"? I thought it was pretty good.

I did not it was pretty shallow I thought espically compared to the graphic novels. And V For Vendetta I did not like either again very shallow compared to the graphic novel and the changes sucked.

Oh, okay.

To avoid disappointment, you shouldn't watch the Watchmen movie.

I am still going to see it, as I said from what I seen its looking like its going to be the best Alan Moore movie adaptation, its doing a lot right so far so I am giving it a chance.

Well, that's good.

If pulled off correctly and accurately as possible, would you say it might be better than "The Dark Knight"?

Maybe although from what I seen so far I don`t think it will at all.

Well, you never know.

Anyway, what have you been up to lately?

Work got two exams next week.

To respond to earlier comments, I'll tell you all what I told a friend....it's really foolish to go into every superhero now expecting it to match TDK. That'll only result in disappointment, and will detract from your enjoyment of the movie.

Ah good luck for them.

Yeah, they should be easy.

Also, I have another oral presentation this Friday. It has to be 9 minutes long, but I can do it.
