When you die, you no longer live, therefore you are no longer alive, so you are not alive since you have died, you are a dead animal you are not alive so you are no longer living so you are a non-living object, but you are also a dead one as well.

A dead thing is an object that was living at a time but had life taken from him/her/it, such as an animal or plant that is deceased.
