Y the Last Man

I must say I am pretty surprised that there wasn't any thread made for this "limited" (limited as it will end after 60 issues) series.

I had heard quite a lot about this series and decided to DL the first few issues, after I had read issue one and two I decided that this was so good that I deleted the downloads and a few days later went and bought the first TPB. So far I am loving this series.

For those of you who don't know what this is, it is about all the males of all the species on Earth suddenly dies, all except for one human male and his male monkey. And then we follow him and a selected few women. I can highly recommend giving this a shot.

For those of you who know of it, any of you read this?

This series is AMAZING.

I can't wait for the last issue, I really want to see how it all ends, but at the same time I don't want it to end. 🙁

Explanation for the plague was a big letdown. Still one of my favorite vertigo books though.

Haven't gotten to the explanation yet, so far I got the impression it was something to do with the curse on that amulet.

i dropped it around the third or fourth trade.

You crazy fool.

oh, Y the Last Man, how I ever so much love you. I'm going to like... cry next month, when the last issue comes out. maybe make some sort of declaration of my love for it, and Brian K. Vaughan, out of marble and tears.

GOOD END.

not to happy but not so depressing and shitty that it made want to throw the book out the window.

Is it funny? Action packed? What?

The last issue or the whole series?

And yes. It's both those things. As well as clever, touching, fun, and sad.

It's a little dissapointing not to know the "true" reason why all the men died... but read the BKV interview on Newsarama right now, and the point kinda comes to the forefront, which is that the series isn't about that, at all, and focusing on that misses the point.

I'm sad it's over. I was a little depressed when I bought the book today and realized it's the last time I'm ever going to be buying it.

There's still the upcoming film. Oh shi- That might end up depressing you even more.

Just read first issue. Quite a scary ending indeed.

Just read 2.

"I have no intention of whoring out my own son" 😂

Because he's the last man, there's some lesbian action going on with other characters. 😉

Now that interests me.

Just read issue 4 I think.

His sister. One ***. 😘

what's only three letters and requires censoring? ass? ***?

woops, nevermind. there it is. it's ***.

They censor ***? That's just silly, when they don't censor shit.

Is ***** censored:

Bitach. 🙁

Y: The Last Man, IMO, is the best limited series I've read for a very long while. (If not ever)

I am on issue 30.

Only a few comics have ever got me that interested that I read 30 in a row.

F*cking outstanding and I will be looking to buy them all. 👆

The ***** ninja just stole the monkey!! 😠
