Respect Hanzou (World Heroes)

Anyone who's familiar with the World Heroes series (or played Neo Geo Battle Coliseum) should recognize this guy. Sure he may seem like a "Ryu ripoff" and all but he's actually very different and I think he's cooler too.

He's the main character of the World Heroes series and is based on the legendary Iga Ninja master Hattori Hanzo and searches for many stronger opponents (much similar to Ryu). His rival in the series is Fuuma. Although the WH series (which consists of only four games) seems to have stopped more than 10 years ago, Hanzou has made at least two recent appearances; Neo Geo Battle Coliseum and SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters DS. Still, he's manage to gain quite a fanbase and the WH games are still being played by many SNK/Neo Geo fans even to this day.

Yeah, it's kind of cool but isn't it the same throw in Neo Geo Battle Coliseum?

I've never played w/him in NGBC. How does he throw you?

Well actually, I haven't got a chance to play it myself (although I'm gonna get it this month hopefully) but I've seen vids of the throw and it looks the same to me, except he doesn't go all the way to the ground. Like I said, when I get it, I'll find out for sure.

I know. They both look pretty cool to me.

Agreed. The new one is slightly more realistic. I miss NGBC. They took it out of the local arcade b4 I could get good at it. World Heroes was an underrated series

Yeah, World Heroes was definitely underrated! The characters need to make more appearances like in King of Fighters game or something.

Okay, I just got Neo Geo Battle Coliseum and Hanzo is one of the best characters in the game. Although I still have problems with the bosses (though I managed to beat Neo Dio no problem), I can pretty much beat any normal character in the game with Hanzo. It does kind of bothers me that he doesn't have his double jump but I guess it's for balance purposes so I'm not TOO bothered by it. Still Hanzo is one of the best. And like I said, he's DEFINITELY not identical to Ryu at all. Trust me.

Shit! I used to love the double jump. Hanzo got plenty of differences from Ryu. The only real ripoff is that @sshole from AOF. You got NGBC for PS2?

Yep, even though I got it much later than I expected.

I can't remember. About 15 or 20$. All I know it's kind of cheap. It doesn't cost that much.
