Love in the Time of Cholera

Excellent novel. Excellent movie. Saw it the other night. Stars Javier Bardem. I don't particularly like Javier Bardem but he gave an oscar worthy performance. Thoughts?

I saw this mentioned on some talk show the other morning, and the movie didn't interest me much but a certain line did. Something about stability in a marriage is more important than happiness. This made me want to read the novel. Too bad the prices on the book will go skyrocket because of the movie coming out, I suppose.
