Turns out, after the energy within Monarch was released -- A single Monitor was the only being in that Universe to survive:

Indeed, that is something, and in context it is consistent with some of Captain Atom's past feats.

Additionally, if a Monitors respect thread were ever to be made, the last scan in that group would definitely require inclusion. Quite something that happened there.
