WWH could do it with one step, literally (and the step in WWH, that was really weak step, it looked like he barely step and didn't hit with force, but only step). The way he was written, if he would fight Thanos in WWH, Thanos would lose if he would fight only with his physical strength.
I think after Sentry fight (that Hulk was by far the most powerful Hulk ever in comics), there is no doubt (in my mind) that he would defeat Thanos in H2H. I think he should defeat him handily.
I think any WWH (already in the beginning it was said that is the most powerful Hulk ever, in the end he was even more powerful) should defeat Thanos in physical strength

in a battle only with physical attributes.
