The tourney you talk about, Scoobs, Khell tried to overrate Jakita's ant feat big time- even judging by that feat (her best one BTW) she's no more than class 50 in pure strength, the thing is she hardly ever uses the strength alone.
The tourney you talk about was full of overselling. BW did that with Crystal, for example...if the girl was just 3/4 as good as he claims her to be, everyone would have forgotten Storm by now.

hmm, you guys should be the odds on favourite in your match. naturally your rep will help, but your team seems to be stronger to me. there is also the issue of the unknown on akuki's team -- typically, lesser known characters are NOT given the benefit of the doubt in these things. usually with good reason -- typically there is little solid evidence that can be brought to bare to prove abilities and power levels satisfactorily. i'll be curious to see how akuki's team does in that regard. personally, i know next to nothing about any of his guys (except of course, for spot . . .), and the bios really don't give me solid or clear pictures of what his guys can REALLY do. i'm looking forward to some tangible evidence regarding some of their guys and i'm glad YOU get to see them before i do. 😄
trick's team has the overall advantage in power imo, but prep advantage goes easily to nvr. i'll be curious to see this match. this one's a push, imo and will likely come down to who debates better, which is not ALWAYS how these things go. if i was FORCED to make a pick i'd go with nvr. i've no doubt he knows his guys VERY well, and despite what some may think, i know him to be a good, solid debater.

Khell was never really branded a cheater. In the early days before everyone had a scanner and a bittorrent account, "proof" was more about what you could convince people of, not about how many scans you could post. Everyone bent the rules, simply because general knowledge wasn't as thorough on the forums. Everyone. Some just tried it more than others.

Also, odds? Meh, everything will change drastically after the first round of battles. No sense in wild guesses, especially since we don't know when people will use their best prep sites.

Khell got me into Authority, so I liked him too. He was kicking ass with Majestic, Jakita, Grail, etc. long before anyone had even heard of them. Back when I first joined, I voted for him in the finals of one of Evangel's tourneys (against Scoob actually). Didn't know enough about comics to actually be voting back then, but he made Majestic seem like a freaking God and I was impressed.

Pretty much. Back then it was, if anything, more accepted only because a lot of us were groping in the dark. But Khell left some time ago so he hasn't been around to defend himself. And his feud with Blair has cast his time here in a negative light.

Khell was a good poster, in fact he was the first true "Wildstormite" on the board. And calling him a cheater because of Dr. Light used once and just once is just dishonest.
