We can't win under these conditions. Anyone in the tournament can just hide and let the locals kill off the other team with a decent plan. Hell, even as a last resort, they can get the locals to take the other team out as a stalemate with both dead. THIS DOES NOT WORK! 👇

On the other hand, this is exactly a situation where it pays to have the Spot.

But I agree, these conditions are preposterous. They'll suck all the fairness from the tourney. It'll be pure luck of the draw who wins. It's stupid.

I'm going to wait until we see judge reactions to manga characters.

Im going for whoever got Gideon or Jutaros' platinum star..

Also, who is debating should be taken into account. Having overall more powerful teams means crap if you cant amalgam and strategize with them worth a damn 😖hifty:

4. Estacado, Red and TricksterPriest: I think these guys downright cheated with their picks. It's horrible.

5. Faceman and nvrbeenwthagirl: Their picks should have some interesting strategies with them.

6.Badabing, Citizen V and Grey Fox: They don't seem to have anything too creative or powerful. Maybe i'll be wrong, but I'm not seeing to much promise right now.

Gideon is one hell of a pick. But I don't think you can count on him being around match time.

Also, there is not ONE battlefield without bistanders who can kick our ass. Is that BS or what?

Yeah, it is a big loss. It cuts off innumerable options that were left open in previous tourneys.

And, in this tourney, we EASILY have more options than any other tourney. No contest, at all.

Which is why a particular team starts out with a handicap.

Because of my time in the Academy nrv will be presenting my arguments. ✅

Observations from someone who's made about 4 of these types of threads (including the original!):

- Non-comic characters are a tough sell. They can work, but extra effort is needed to explain things.

- Some people run into a ton of real life commitments and basically drop out. We seem to have a lot of interested people, so maybe this will be the first time we don't have a no-show.

- My team isn't even complete, so odds should be withheld until we get our sh*t together....and even we don't know when that'll be.

- If nvr can come up with an offensive plan to compliment the "shut everyone off" thing, they could be dangerous.

- Gideon was banned from copying amalgams, so he's likely getting through...which seems fair, given other decisions. I'm not arguing for him to be in (that's for the other thread), just stating what I'm seeing.

- Smurph has us 7th. Kandy has us 2nd. Guess who I like more right now ( 31 )

Still against Duping, but barring a large number of people getting it tossed, it's probably getting in.

Akuki's team is a darkhorse, but with guys like Kenshiro, they could be a major threat.
