Giants exist now... Robert Wadlow was just under 9 feet, that classifies as "giant"; he's the tallest recorded human.

Who's to say a few other pituitary-giants didn't exist in ancient times. Goliath (if the David & Goliath story is factually true) was most likely just a very large/tall man, maybe even a pituitary-giant. Gigantism has nothing to do with Angels or God-magic.
