The films make the redemption of Anakin Skywalker to be the exception to the rule, and even in the Expanded Universe it was meant to be considered an extreme rarity (until things post-ROTJ, where the writers deemed that since Luke had redeemed one Dark Sider, they could all be).
For the purpose of Ush's games, there's no going back. We're not Anakin Skywalker.
Fair enough. I figured it was something like that, as I only know of two instances where a Jedi had been redeemed from their Falling, and one of them could be considered non-canon.
Anakin, of course, would be the elephant in the room. The other is Bastila, from the first Knights of the Old Republic game.
Just finished "Runaway", and once again I'm left with nothing but praise. What I like best is how its very clear that the Fall is very much a matter of choices and personal beliefs. I especially find Xavier's hope for "redemption" intriguing in how it leads him to continue on the path. So far I've yet to come across a Fallen who hasn't made me feel for them, especially if I try putting myself in their shoes.
Not that I'm going to start calling them the Woobie Brigade or anything. No no, I like my organs far too much for that. 😛
