REX'S STAR WARS GAME- Retrospection

There might be a point where she has to choose between insanity or evil...ness, but there's no redemption from the Dark Side.

I think the Phsyco's as a group are evil. But individually less so. 😛

We do tend to amplify our nastiness when we're all together, yes 😛

And I've a feeling that the fact that there's no redemption from the Dark Side is going to be big in my current game... especially as Rianna refuses to believe she truly gave in to it.

Good enough reason go insanity. Who knows, maybe she'll snap so hard that the Dark Side will get another schizophrenic. 😛

Question.

Why is there no redemption? Is it because it's (understandably) a rare thing and thus highly unlikely, or is there some other reason behind it?

Thats what I was just wondering?

The films make the redemption of Anakin Skywalker to be the exception to the rule, and even in the Expanded Universe it was meant to be considered an extreme rarity (until things post-ROTJ, where the writers deemed that since Luke had redeemed one Dark Sider, they could all be).

For the purpose of Ush's games, there's no going back. We're not Anakin Skywalker.

Fair enough. I figured it was something like that, as I only know of two instances where a Jedi had been redeemed from their Falling, and one of them could be considered non-canon.

Anakin, of course, would be the elephant in the room. The other is Bastila, from the first Knights of the Old Republic game.

Technically those storys were written first, so technically it should be possible. But like you say, for the purposes of Ush's game, once you go black, you never go back kinda thing.

Indeed. Ush is not exactly a fan of some of the things EU pulls. The 'revolving door' Force alignment policy is kind of silly and removes the gravity of the situation.

I despise it, myself.

Just finished "Runaway", and once again I'm left with nothing but praise. What I like best is how its very clear that the Fall is very much a matter of choices and personal beliefs. I especially find Xavier's hope for "redemption" intriguing in how it leads him to continue on the path. So far I've yet to come across a Fallen who hasn't made me feel for them, especially if I try putting myself in their shoes.

Not that I'm going to start calling them the Woobie Brigade or anything. No no, I like my organs far too much for that. 😛

Don't worry, the most violent of the PB was always batshit insane and violent 😛

Oh, good to know. 😛 No I just have to decide which story to read next. mmm...care to offer an input, ma'am?

The PB games are always good for a laugh!

Rescue was the older one we did and Holocron the current one.

I'll definitely keep that in mind, but I think I should check out another Light Side story first. Not looking to Fall just yet...😛

Awww but we're funny 😛

Seriously, Rescue is hilarious. Rianna winds up provoking Galder into a duel.

All the more reason to save the best for last. I'm sure it'll be a blast. 🙂

I always thought the storyline to Rescue was really weak, but it was meant to be more amusing than smart.

Weak storyline or no, it didn't stop us from going completely over the top with it 😛

Rescue was funny cause we just got to play around
