You can't really call it jokes. Though it only really got funny through the plural meaning.

Meaning, one on their own could not stand as a joke, if it got funny at all then through the three meanings.

Exactly. Usually people like witty humor.

I hope I haven't offended you by poking fun at your weight...feel free to poke fun of my big ears in the future...fair is fair and I like a good joke.

Anyway, as you said, I would like to see where the REAL thread will go...I wonder if anythying new will pop up.

poking at someones weight usually means you have nothing intelligent/witty/relevant to say at the time.

I don't subscribe to brainless general statements.

In conclusion. 3 meanings, 1 joke.

Go on, thread.

2. The fact that you are heavier set...contributing to the fact that you have enough tissue on your chest that it can be used for titty f***in'.

yes, but some do, and it was a remark made in poor taste. whats next, making fun of ones ethnicity?

Why not?

because some people might be really sensitive to their weight IF they are overweight. It's like making fun of a cripple.

The fact that there are people out there who can differentiate between what is a joke and what isn't, and take intended remarks as such, suggests that it would be that person's problem for taking a weight based joke seriously.

see, that's the thing, some people take even the slightest jab too seriously. Even if someone is joking about it, and the fat person KNOWS they are joking about it, it still hurts.

My sis is like that, no one, not even me or her hubby can joke with her about her weight.

On the other hand, you have Bardock, who can take it and dish it right back to you, which is a great way to be.

Not judging the situation at hand as I am involved, I just think generally one can make witty and funny jokes about a persons weight that don't even have to be insulting, that's why I objected to your post. And I am pretty sure that there are people that make jokes about ethnicity. There is a difference between making fun of and making a joke though.

a fine line, man.

People do not have the right not to be offended.

just trying to say that some people are prone more than others when it comes to being offended.

True. But it doesn't really matter.

Why do you think it doesn't matter? You mean in this instance, or all the time?

Just because you might be easily offended you don't deserve special treatment.

special treatment and consideration for others feelings are two different things.

This is the internet.

Of course, you can for yourself consider other people's feelings, you don't have to though.
