The only thing the runes did was amp thors durabilty

Thor was strong enough to hurt harold in the begining but his boy couldnt take his own strength hence the compound fractures in his wrists and legs

Even if that was the case... shouldn't his hits have affected Harald, even if he broke his wrists?

Also, even the other heroes were able to harm the Vikings after the Rune upgrade.

I'd look through the comics, but I don't feelz like it right now...
